Our team, the Application Specific Integrated Circuit \(ASIC\) Product Realization Team \(PRT\), is seeking an engineer experienced in developing and producing integrated circuits\. Your responsibilities will center around the realization and production of ASICs for Nuclear Weapon \(NW\) modernization programs, spanning design through failure analysis\.

On any given day, your responsibilities can include, but not be limited to:

+ Yield analysis and improvement efforts
+ Failure analysis and root cause determination, including working with Design, Test, and Failure Analysis teams
+ Development and execution of qualification plans for NW ASICs
+ Identifying potential reliability or functional concerns and driving them to resolution
+ Participating in the product realization process, including early engagement in the development phase, to define, validate, and clarify requirements for ASICs destined for use in nuclear weapons
+ Employing quality management systems and defect prevention techniques throughout the complete realization process \(e\.g\. design for manufacturing, mistake proofing, etc\)

Required:

+ You will have a bachelor's degree in a science, technology, or engineering discipline, plus 5 years of relevant experience
+ Your background includes experience development, production, test, qualification, and/or failure analysis of integrated circuits
+ You can obtain the DOE Q\-level clearance needed for this role

Your background should also include:

+ Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering
+ Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, including proven abilities in effective leadership, negotiation, delegation, and conflict resolution in diverse team environments
+ Familiarity with one or more of the following integrated circuit processes: design, fabrication, packaging, electrical test, environmental/radiation testing, burn\-in, and/or qualification
+ Experience in the following areas: System engineering and integration of complex systems; design, development, realization, production, or surveillance of Nuclear Weapon \(NW\) Weapon Reserve \(WR\) hardware; requirements development and mapping; component development activities; qualification testing and analysis; hardware assembly and integration; defect analysis
+ Ability to integrate ideas and work effectively across diverse technical organizations
+ Ability to balance multiple, sometimes conflicting, priorities
+ Working knowledge of reliability assessment and accelerated test methods such as those in JESD47 and MIL\-STD\-883
+ Experience defining testing methods and interpreting results
+ Active DOE security clearance

Department Description:

The NW ASIC Products & CAD/Layout department focuses on the realization and delivery of digital, analog, and mixed signal application specific integrated circuits \(ASICs\) to the nuclear weapons community and on providing IC Layout Design and CAD and Compute resources to Microsystems Engineering and Sciences Applications \(MESA\)\. Our dynamic team maintains expertise on the full NW ASIC product realization process beginning with customer engagement/requirements through product delivery and coordinates all the efforts from design, fabrication, packaging, test, and qualification to realize and ensure a Mark Quality ASIC product delivery\. In addition, the department provides Layout Design capabilities, CAD engineering, and Compute resources for NW and SPP customers across MESA\. Mission success relies on coordination, communication, and documentation\. There is exciting new work and a corresponding need for additional support staff\. The department works closely with our in\-house radiation hardened CMOS technology group, design, fabrication, packaging, electrical test, external production, and customers, to deliver products and services that meet our mission goals\.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\) granted Q\-level security clearance\.
