The scenic campus in west-central Indiana is home to 2,100 students with a passion for STEM and learning. Rose is consistently listed among the best colleges and universities in the country, including a No. 1 ranking by U.S. News & World Report as the Best Undergraduate Engineering Program for 21 years running. Our teaching-focused mission is to provide our students with the world’s best undergraduate science, engineering and mathematics education in an environment of individual attention and support.

THE POSITION: The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Rose-Hulman invites applications for a tenure-track position with an anticipated start date of August 2020. The department offers two degrees, B.S. in Electrical Engineering and B.S. in Computer Engineering, both of which are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET and ranked as the top programs in the country for institutions without Ph.D. programs. We are looking for applicants with a strong commitment to undergraduate engineering education, including laboratory instruction and lifelong personal and professional development.

Requirements include a doctorate or near completion in electrical or computer engineering or closely related field. We are looking for candidates from all areas of electrical and computer engineering who embrace the mission and vision of Rose-Hulman to join our collegial team of 20 faculty. The department and the institute place a high value on engaging students from traditionally underrepresented groups, and candidates from these groups are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates who can further broaden and enhance the educational experience of our students, especially with prior industrial experience, are also encouraged to apply.

Essential job responsibilities include teaching and advising students, continued professional development, and service to the department, institute and professional community. Applicants should submit a CV/resume, cover letter, statement of teaching that describes your teaching philosophy and pursuit of excellence in undergraduate teaching, and a statement of professional development and/or research via https://jobs.rose-hulman.edu.
