Job Description

The OpenVINO team at Intel is looking for someone to advance our engagement, contributions, and market attach through open, responsive, and collaborative efforts on our GitHub site. This role is a bit technical, a bit product, and a bit marketing, though you won't be solely responsible for any of those. We are looking for experienced Product Managers that are open to engaging and managing an open-source community. Our focus is on developer growth and contributions, for which you will create a plan to drive this through GitHub and with your co-travels that will focus on other AI developer communities.
As an Open-Source Community Manager, your responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:
-Manage our open-source GitHub site, including: Publish public aspects of our roadmap. Take ownership of GitHub documentation as it relates to our Public Roadmap, contributions guidelines, processes, and engagement opportunities (how-to articles, prioritized feature areas of opportunity, etc.). Monitoring asks and upvotes on features and fixes in GitHub; ensure there is a process (ideally Jira tickets) to track the changes through our planning process.
-Develop and manage an aggressive plan to drive pull requests across our tools and components.
-Be a part of the cross-functional team that creates and manages our community content strategy, delivering diverse content that engages and educates our members.
-Be the voice of the community measuring progress, tracking KPIs, and providing regular insights gained via consistent, actionable reporting.
-Analyze various information to discover trends and patterns among developers in the community by establishing metrics and analytics to improve operational efficiencies.
-Present information and propose solutions/strategies to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
-Document alignments between GitHub and docs.openvino.ai.
-Find a way to align internal and external roadmap publishing and updating
-Work closely with the marketing team on third-party research to validate our market and products, as well as engagement call to action options with our evangelists.
-Constantly ask if we are meeting the needs of our community and develop action plans on any areas we are not.

An ideal candidate should also exhibit the following skills:
- Excellent written, verbal skills, including experience creating and posting content.
- Open to trying new ideas and exploring new channels.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively across other marketing and business functions, such as: stakeholders and various leaderships.
- Customer-centric, organized and detail-oriented with proven record of driving positive business results.
- Data-driven mindset with experience in collecting, aggregating, and presenting information to facilitate solutions or areas of improvement.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or any Technical related field plus 4+ years of industry work experience.
-4+ years of experience software product management.

Preferred Qualifications:
-AI Developer mindset, preferably experience with OpenVINO.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
