Work closely with Engineering and Operations teams to identify potential issues and provide mitigation plan
Leading Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) operations team in planning and executing builds
Influence Operations, Quality and Engineering teams with key decisions based on background of each qualification and drive cross-functional teams based on the priorities for timely execution of projects.
Lead all communications, upward and downward through the organization; raising key issues and options for resolution with executive teams.
Key Qualifications
- Strong multidisciplinary and technical engineering background
- Impeccable interpersonal, multi-tasking and management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment, and take on complex multidisciplinary issues
- Experience in manufacturing, process engineering or product development is a plus
- Ability to travel up to ~25%.
Description
Post ramp qualification (PRQ) OPM owns the qualification of new components/modules/processes on iPhone by collaborating closely with engineering to establish timelines, benchmarks, and requirements for qualifying changes to shipping products.
PRQs are pivotal to ensure best in class quality products are available to customers on time.
A successful PRQ OPM is a leader and facilitator; is dynamic, driven, organized and detail oriented; excels in program management; thrives in an ambiguous environment and is adept at facilitating actions and resolving conflicts. PRQ OPM needs to have technical background to be able to work with highly skilled system Engineering teams to identify risks, explore solutions, reach consensus and execute mitigations as quickly as possible.
Education & Experience
BS or MS degree in Industrial, Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering with 4-6 years of industry experience.
