Come and join Intel as an Operations Research Engineer. As an Operations Research Engineers you will design, develop, and apply engineering, mathematical and discrete event simulation models to drive solutions to complex manufacturing problems.
Some of the job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Identify and solves highly complex problems in factory performance, loading, equipment performance, decision science and, supply and distribution network problems.
- Require a thorough understanding of the factory (Fab and A/T) environment and supply chain knowledge to develop complex engineering models and apply them to identify and drive solutions.
- Build, develop, validate and apply mathematically based decision algorithms, heuristics, optimization and simulation models and tools.
- Work closely with the business units to identify root causes, define the strategic and tactical needs and drive the appropriate business and technical solutions.
- Develop solutions to problems utilizing formal technical training, business knowledge and judgment, build predictive models using data modeling algorithms and other data mining techniques.
- Willing to 24/7 on-call support requirement every 6-7 weeks.
The candidate should also exhibit the following behavioral traits:

- Organizational, prioritization, planning and time management skills, Flexible to work with large datasets.
This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.
Qualifications
You
must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially
considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in
addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus
factor in identifying top candidates. Knowledge and/or experience
listed below would be obtained through a combination of your
school, work and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant
previous job and/or internship experiences.
Minimum
Requirements:
- Candidate should possess a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or Operations Research. Must have the required degree or expect the required degree by August 2022.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in data analytics and software development.
Preferred Requirements:
- Minimum of 6
months of experience in:
- Applied programming experience, with expertise in Oracle SQL application development
- Applied statistics experience
- Knowledge of discrete event modeling languages
