NSA Overview

The professionals at the National Security Agency (NSA) have one common goal: to protect our nation. The mission requires a strong offense and a steadfast defense. The offense collects, processes, and disseminates intelligence information derived from foreign signals for intelligence and counterintelligence purposes. The defense prevents adversaries from gaining access to sensitive classified national security information.

In support of the Agency mission as a whole, the Business Analysis Group leverages financial analytic tools to facilitate data collection management, data analysis, advanced analytic studies tool development, metrics, and forecasting. This organization also provides cost and financial data analyses to inform senior leader resource decision making.

Operations Research Analysts support the mission by analyzing, developing, and applying mathematical/statistical or computational methods and lines of reasoning to provide support to independent studies, analysis of alternatives, economic analyses, and program budget development.

For certain positions, individuals are expect to obtain a Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification within 24 months.
