OTF (Ocotillo Technology Fabrication) VSG Vacuum Systems Group is looking for a (VSG) Process/Equipment Engineer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • You will be responsible for owning all aspects of factory's 300mm toolsets supported with Subfab vacuum and abatement equipment.
  • The equipment suppliers include Edwards vacuum systems, Ebara, and Centrotherm.
  • Your sustaining responsibilities will include the safety, quality, equipment uptime performance.
  • You will also be expected to sustain accurate specified procedures and checklists and to maintain all sustaining systems relevant to your toolsets.
  • Expert knowledge level of electrical and mechanical systems, lock out, tag out training and COHE is expected.
  • You will be responsible for delivering supplier p-spec performance availability.
  • For new technology start-ups, you will be responsible for ensuring the tools are installed, converted, and qualified without issue.
  • You will be expected to drive continuous improvement in the health and matching of your toolset(s) by maintaining and driving an improvement roadmap.
  • You will be responsible for leading your tools and area to achieve best in class tool availability.
  • Position will require working on shift 1, and will require some on-call coverage.
  • In addition, your role will include partnering with the factory modules in the development of module-level equipment improvements in support of the factory's goals and output.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Qualifications listed as preferred or additional will be considered a plus factor for applicants.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or Ph.D. in one of the following: Engineering, Physics, Optics or related science field.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in:300mm Process Engineering experience in either the subfab or fab functional areas.
  • Working in an environment with new and frequently changing challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Have a strong knowledge of experimental design; and the skills to apply that knowledge to tool maintenance and equipment development.
  • Demonstrate the skills to work across organizational teams such as the process modules and site facilities.
