As a PCB CAD designer in EPG, you will create reference designs for Intel's Ethernet Products. These reference designs will be used by our external customers and other Intel teams to integrate our silicon into their products.  Your designs will help our customers create the next generation of Ethernet designs.


The duties and responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Working closely with the design engineer for layout input
  • Utilize constraint driven designs for both physical and electrical requirements
  • Perform trial layout designs to test component breakout and routing concepts
  • Create PCB fab drawings
  •  Tape out PCBs for fabrication
  • Create and maintain library part symbols
  • Collaborating with PCB vendors

The ideal candidate will be a team player, with a demonstrated experience technically influencing others. You will be expected to prioritize and carry out multiple tasks at once, good communication skills with teammates, peers, and supervisors/managers and be Self-motivated and eager to learn.


Qualifications

This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Job Qualifications:

  • High School / Equivalent and 10+ years of work experience -OR- Associates of Science (AS) with 6+ years of work experience -OR- Bachelor of Science (BS) with 4+ years of work experience
  • Experience with Cadence Allegro layout and Cadence PCB Librarian tool chain for PCB CAD design
  • Experience designing PCBs including HDI (High Density Interconnect) designs with complex via stacks
  • Experience routing high speed signals faster than 10 Gbps

Work Model for this Role

This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
