The Intel Movidius VPU IP Architecture team is looking for a Neural Computing Performance Engineer.

As a software Engineer of AI performance modeling team, the individual will be working full time on developing performance modeling framework for current and future generation VPU IPs. The VPU performance modeling framework is a production-worthy, scalable, multi-layer software tool package to be developed and released according to strict software development and quality control process. The framework models the AI processing steps of VPU hardware and interfaces with various AI framework and compiler stacks.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Define performance model architecture to best reflect the interworking of VPU SW/HW
  • Define the software architecture for efficient model execution, conduct code profiling and optimization
  • Implement and test performance models with systematic SW development practices
  • Integrate modern DevOps tool into the design flow of the modeling development
  • willing to use, setup and maintain automated software DevOps flow

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 3+ years of experience or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 2+ years of experience.
  • Experience with object-oriented software design and coding skill, particularly familiar with python
  • Deep understanding and familiarity with software DevOps process, tools, and methodology, such as GitHub, agile development, CI/CD
