Job Description

 As Intel products grow increasingly complex from design, manufacturing, and customer implementations, focus on maintaining high quality to meet customer needs is even more important for Intel's success. As part of the Platform and Customer Quality and Reliability Group in Intel's Corporate Quality Network (CQN), the successful candidate will be leading product quality improvement, customer issue response, and internal issue resolution with business unit partners in the Network and Edge Group (NEX). There are two positions available, one working with the Network Platforms Group (NPG) across and the other working with Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) to deliver world class quality and reliability across a wide range of products, markets, and customer requirements.

The Platform and Customer Quality and Reliability Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Identifying and prioritizing cross-organizational strategic initiatives to ensure product quality meets Intel customer expectations, using quality indicators to drive the initiative roadmap.
  • Working closely with senior leaders across various organizations (e.g. design architecture, validation) to understand and engage with customer issues, and lead initiatives to prevent future customer impactful issues.
  • Driving the execution of cross organizational initiatives to closure, working across development and business unit partnerships.
  • Owning an end-to-end quality program initiatives, driving continuous improvements throughout the product lifecycle, and delivering quality from concept through product end of life.

  • Discipline in documentation of processes, execution of initiatives, and governance-accountability to ensure successful closure of initiatives.


Qualifications

 You must possess the minimum qualifications highlighted below to be considered for this position. Qualifications listed as preferred or additional will be considered a plus factor for applicants.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics or related field of study with 10+ years of industry experience in semiconductor / electronics design or manufacturing, OR
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Physics or related field of study with 7+ years of industry experience in semiconductor / electronics design or manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with managing technical programs involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in the field of SOC design, semiconductor quality and reliability, component and platform validation.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
