Come and join us! Intel is seeking highly qualified candidates to join our Internet of Things Group (IoTG) as a Platform Application Engineer!

In this position, you will be joining Intel's Internet of Things Group, Customer Engineering team. Candidate will provide direct customer design-in support with a focus on Retail, Banking, hospitality, and Education segments and applications in the Internet of things sector. Candidate will be responsible for the technical support and customer enabling for OEM, and ODM, across multiple platforms and technologies on both the Core and Atom product lines, as well as escalation support for mature product lines.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Product design-in and debug support
• Respond to customer technical questions
• Creation of application specific collateral, white papers, and application notes
• Provide technical training for customers and Intel field application engineers

The ideal candidate will have the following skills in addition to the qualifications below:

• Excellent overall understanding of Intel Architecture and technologies
• Familiarity with Intel platforms and troubleshooting skills
• Platform design-in support and debug highly desirable
• Strong understanding of platform SW including BIOS and drivers
• Self-driven and ability to multitask effectively
• Customer engagement experience and ability to create customer ready material, including strong technical writing and presentation skills
• Exhibit strong influencing and customer orientation skills to listen, understand and respond professionally to customers as well discuss technical details at multiple depth levels
• Willingness to travel internationally and domestically

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork, classes, research and or relevant previous job and or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field with 4+ years of experience or, Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of experience.
• 3+ years of experience in the following areas
  • Intel Architecture and compute subsystems
  • Troubleshooting and debug of high-performance computing platforms
  • Modern operation systems such as Windows, Android and Linux

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in platform applications engineering or system design experience
• Embedded system integration experience
• Experience with embedded systems and operating systems desirable

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$85,420.00-$136,400.00
