The
Enabling Platforms and Services team is an inclusive team within
the Software and Advanced Technology Group (SATG) which provides
pre-production client, data center, and discrete graphics systems
and samples to Intel's internal and external software ecosystem.
These systems are known internally as Software Development
Platforms, or SDPs. Our mission is to define and deliver
development platforms and services that inspire developers and
enable TTM of Intel products. We seek to accomplish this mission
via partnerships across our key stakeholder base and key Intel
business units. We are looking for Platform Interoperability
Engineer that works independently to join our
team.
Platform Interoperability Engineer (PIE) is
responsible for providing all platform software components
(Firmware, Drivers, and Operating System) of assigned Software
Development Platform (SDP) projects. This important role requires
significant technical and program leadership skills to successfully
interact with Enabling Platform Services' (EPS) team members and
Intel's business units. Our PIE's are valued members of the product
development team that delivers SDPs to developers and partners
worldwide. PIE's work with the owners of third party software
components and Intel's legal team to gain SDP use approvals,
develop Interoperability test plans, conduct Interoperability
testing, generate/publish test results, and participate in SDP
out-of-box system audits prior to shipping. Additionally, PIE's
confirm that all software components included in SDP releases are
cleared by Intel legal for external use from an Intellectual
Property standpoint, and the Quality Release Criteria process.
Person should have Automation experience with Test
scripts.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Qualifications listed as preferred or additional will be considered a plus factor for applicants.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field.
You must have 3+ years of experience with
the
following:
- Software validation
- Scripting/Powershell/C/C#
- Creating system level software images, loading firmware, BIOS, and drivers
- Conducting system level debug, duplication, isolation, root cause analysis, and corrective action for both hardware and software issues.
This position is not eligible for an Intel immigration sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of and experience with software development methods and tools
- Knowledge and experience in software validation methods and tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with design, software validation engineers, customers, technical marketing engineers, and program managers
