Job Description

Come join an industry leading signaling development team at Intel Corporation. The team is part of Intel's Data Center and AI Group. This position will enable you to experience technology development from inception to production. You will work side by side with industry experts and leaders in high-speed signal integrity. You will also work to develop next generation technology. Work that we do today will be the backbone to the Data Centers and Artificial Intelligence systems of tomorrow.

    Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

    • Performing Signal Integrity simulation, modeling (3D), and analysis of platform and system level boards as well as packages for high speed interfaces such as PCIe, UPI, and Ethernet.

    Specifically - This position will focus on server PCIe5.0 signal integrity simulations. Additional activities will include post-silicon passive/active correlation work with pre-silicon simulation and modeling, board and package reviews, Rx CEM simulation methodology development, and HS PHY IBIS-AMI modeling.


    Qualifications

    You must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

    Education Requirements

    Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 2+ years of applicable experience in the following areas:
    • Experience with transmission line theory and electromagnetic field concepts.
    • Experience with high-speed digital interconnect design and analysis concepts, such as PCIe, DDR, etc.
    • Experience with lab equipment such as Oscilloscope, Time Domain Reflectometry Module (TDR), or Vector Network Analyzer (VNA).
    • Experience with silicon device modeling methods, which may include IBIS, AMI, or Verilog-A.
    • Experience with analysis tools: HFSS, ADS, and cadence Allegro/Mentor Graphics


    Nice to have Qualifications

    • Experience with signal integrity simulation tools, which may include Sigma or HSpice.
    • Experience with PCB layout concepts, which may include familiarity with tools such as Candence Allegro or Mentor.
    • Experience with scripting languages such as Matlab, Perl, or Python.
    • Experience with 2D/3D field solver tools, which may include XFX, iMap, HFSS, or Power SI.


    Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

    Work Model for this Role

    This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
