Platform Architecture Integration and Validation (PAIV) team enables future generations of DPG platforms that power Cloud, Enterprise, and Data Center! We're part of Data Platform Engineering and Architecture team under Data Center and AI Group focused on architecting, validating, optimizing and delivering innovations on data platforms for our cloud, enterprise, networking and communications service provider customers.

We are seeking highly qualified technical leaders to join PAIV to lead Data Center Platform Validation. This is a hands-on, fast paced, role for an engineer who thrives in the challenging world of platform debug. Depending on the candidate, they may also be able to lead a small team of technical contributors but the primary expectation for the role is of an individual technical contributor. We are looking for a dynamic and passionate individual who has a strong quality mindset ensuring the right platform quality with predictable delivery that customers can count on.

In this role, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Lead platform validation team's technical engagement with PRT/microarchitecture/sub-system technical leads as well as CSP/OEM experts on post-silicon/post-PRQ and hot customer issues (functional/quality/security).
  • Engage directly with leading CSPs and drive customer co-validation strategy to enable early feedback from major CSP/OEM for prompt fix/mitigation within the IPU cadence to safeguard IPU release quality.
  • Candidate will help enable and drive debug of Performance/Power KPI and help root cause deviation from projections.
  • Will require to work across Intel to coordinate and drive necessary changes in SW/OS/Driver or other FW components critical for delivering to the PnP targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams' architects (Si, microcode and other ingredients & BUs) to synergize and improve validation effectiveness and efficiency, and drive quality upfront.

  • High performer with a track record of technical accomplishments.



  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or relevant technology and 8+ years of applicable industry experience, or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or relevant technology and 10+ years of applicable industry experience.
  • Deep understanding of CPU micro-architecture and platform hardware and software technologies e.g. RAS, error injection, memory, virtualization, security features.
  • Through understanding of Operating System architectures with hands-on experience on server/ system software development and/ or validation: BMC, firmware, kernel, OS.
  • Experience with debug tools for JTAG, on chip trace features and ability to debug via OSC/LAs etc.
  • Usage of any Post-Si debug tools (e.g., logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, things like Chip Scope on FPGA's, etc.), usage of different Analyzers/exercisers (PCIe etc.)
  • Proven capability to debug complex hardware/software issues related to BIOS, OS, Hardware, as well as cross domain interaction.
  • Experience driving process improvements across functions and BUs- Excellent communication skills who can effectively influence technical experts in PRT/microarchitecture/server ingredient teams as well as customers.
