What Your Job Will Be Like:

Organizations 5344 and 5349 are seeking motivated and innovative electrical engineers to design and deliver advanced RF systems to support a broad range of ND, interagency, radar ISR, and related programs/initiatives. As a successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to realize complex systems and deliver differentiating new capabilities to meet emerging national security challenges, all the while advancing the state of the art. Having a desire to learn and develop your own skills will be crucial and beneficial as you join our team to accomplish missions vital to our nation.

On any given day, you may be called on to:• Collaborate on System-level design and integration• Negotiate technical and programmatic requirements with customers• Deliver hardware within schedule and budgetary constraints• Analyze, design, and develop power schemas for: modules, Chassis and integrated systems.• Coordinate PCB fabrication and assembly and/or COTS unit selection and purchase.• Perform power analysis, functional verification and testing.

Candidates are expected to have experience and understanding in the application of principles, theories, concepts, and practices related to RF/analog/digital circuit design, to perform modeling and simulation in support of design and analysis activities, and to participate in experimental testing and system level integration of completed designs. Candidates must have the ability to work successfully in a dynamic, interdisciplinary, teaming environment.

Qualifications We Require:

+ Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM with 5 years experience,

+ OR Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline

+ Understanding of electrical schematics

+ Ability to acquire and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance.

Qualifications We Desire:

Ideally, we would like to see your background include some of the following:

+ Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline preferred.

+ Experience with one or more of the following:

+ Power schemas and design:

+ Power regulation, effeciencies, noise rejection

+ Source input DC, AC and various frequencies

+ Battery types, capacities, charge/discharge rate

+ Fabrication and assembly of PCB and modules, quality assurance, and test

+ Attitude and Drive to learn new skills directly applicable to the job requirements

+ Demonstrated ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, as well as work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment, building consensus and resolving issues.

+ Demonstrated ability to innovate in an R&D environment

+ Willingness to work in a team-based development effort including tight integration with a hardware production team

+ Good interpersonal, oral and written skills

+ Active DOE Q-level clearance

Radar ISR Analysis & Applications Department (05344) operates within the “Radar Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (Radar ISR)” business area to develop and field high-performance synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems, and to support various Nuclear Weapon (NW), National Security programs (NSP), homeland security, and interagency programs and R&D initiatives. The department specializes in electromagnetic design, simulation, analysis, and testing activities, including antenna/radar design and development, radar-cross-section analysis, and RF systems engineering.

Security Clearance:
