Intel Server Firmware team is looking for Firmware Architecture, Design, and Validation Engineers to join our team. This team drives the definition and development of Intel's integrated firmware for all Data Center SoCs. Responsibilities may be quite diverse, depending on the unique needs of the job.
Some of the responsibilities in these roles are as follows:
Specify, implement, and validate CPU power, performance, thermal management algorithms, and CPU control management functions
Architect, design, and test embedded firmware solutions on micro-controllers that work within system-level design constraints
Define interfaces between hardware, firmware, and software
Analyze existing algorithms and implementations for defects and weaknesses and propose changes to improve function and performance
Specify and evaluate the viability of complex features and structures and ensure that software and hardware designs interface correctly
Define, document and test processes for inclusion into platforms, subsystem specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility
Identify, analyze, and resolve subsystem and/or SoC design weaknesses
Influence the shaping of future products by significantly contributing to the architecture used across design families. Provides multilayered technical expertise for next-generation initiatives
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your academic/research work and/or relevant previous jobs.
Minimum Requirements
Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/ Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of experience, or a Master's degree in the same fields with 2+ years of experience.
Experience and/or coursework is required in all the following areas:
Programming in C++ or Python or Perl or Ruby or Object-Oriented Programming Techniques
Embedded Firmware validation or verification
Power management technologies
Computer Architecture
Additional experience and/or coursework in any of the following areas is preferred and will make you stand out:
Power management IP, power management firmware, or SoC power management development, verification, or validation
Reading and interpreting technical specs and Register Transfer Level (RTL) code
Linux or UNIX expertise
Hands-on debug experience in pre- or post-silicon environments
Verification/Validation Techniques and Methods
Hardware/software interface design and debug

Annual Salary
Range for jobs which could be performed in US,
Colorado:
$113,500.00-$170,120.00
