Job Description

The Power Management Controller (PMC) IP Architecture Team is seeking a candidate to drive the development of Power Management Architecture for Next Generation Client, Server and IoTG PMC IPs.

  • Development domains include driving PMC workload optimizations.

  • Platform boot and reset flows.

  • Idle & active power management.

  • Platform survivability and robustness solutions.

  • Evaluate future PMC technologies implemented in HW and/or FW/SW.

  • Works with PCH, CPU & platform teams for cross die solutions.

  • Drive a common feature set across device, client and server PMC spaces.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or Electrical and Computer Engineering with 8+ years experience in a power management role

OR

  • Master's in Computer Science or Electrical and Computer Engineering or equivalent with 6+ years of experience

OR

  • PhD in Computer Science or Electrical and Computer Engineering or equivalent with 4+ years of experience


Experience in:

  • Computer architecture.

  • Architectural power/performance evaluation and validation methods.

  • Power management experience with subsystems or products.

  • Post-si work and PnP work/characterization.

  • Experience in comprehending platform level architectural requirements and driving lower level IP requirements.

  • Embedded multi-processor systems.


The following experience/knowledge would be an added advantage:

  • Knowledge of Intel's x86 architecture.

  • Current Intel platforms.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
