Job Description

The Internet of Things Group Quality and Reliability organization (IOTG Product QnR) is looking to hire a highly motivated Pre/Post Silicon Reliability Assessor to support its growing product lines being developed for IOTG's various market segments including Industrial and Embedded. Responsibilities include being the Reliability advocate and playing a vital role in the design, Qualification, and product launch for IOTG products. This unique position includes opportunities to work on evaluating Reliability from both a Pre and a Post Silicon perspective. Pre Silicon Reliability areas focus on Device Aging, Interconnect Reliability and Electrical Overstress, and post Si focus areas include latent manufacturing defects, gate oxide, and Vmin analysis.

The Platform Reliability Assessor will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Ensuring pre-Si circuit designs and product Quality and Reliability requirements meet Intel's high standards through design simulation and verification.
  • Providing pre-Si Reliability evaluations for a variety of circuits and products, considering multiple usage scenarios and collaborating with Design and Technology Development to identify and solve Reliability roadblocks / limitations on an as needed basis.
  • Working to identify design verification and Reliability tools and methods to identify ways to automate them to do multi-variate analyses as efficiently as possible.
  • Understanding the SKU strategy for products under development and creating / executing a Cancun based Reliability assessments that cover planned SKUs, targeted use conditions and IOTG Reliability sensitivity requests.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study with 1+ year(s) of experience in at least one of the following areas:
    • Circuit Simulation.
    • Physical Design.
    • EDA Tool Execution / Development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cancun or similar Reliability evaluation tool experience with knowledge of semiconductor device physics, circuit design and architecture, and failure/wearout mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of VLSI design flows and familiarity with UNIX/LINUX and Shell programing (for design tool execution).
  • Skills in programing languages such as PERL and/or PYTHON.
  • Knowledge and/or experience is the area of design automation and analog design.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
