As an integral part of
Intel's new IDM2.0 strategy, we are establishing Intel Foundry
Services (IFS), a fully vertical, standalone foundry business,
reporting directly to the CEO. IFS will be a world-class foundry
business and major provider of US and European-based capacity to
serve customers globally. Intel Foundry Services will be
differentiated from other Foundry offerings with a combination of
leading-edge packaging and process technology, committed capacity
in the US and Europe - available for customers globally - and a
world-class IP portfolio that customers can chose from including
x86 cores, graphics, media, display, AI, interconnect, fabric and
other critical foundational IP, along with ARM and RISC-V ecosystem
IPs. IFS will also provide access to silicon design services to
help our customers seamlessly turn silicon into solutions, using
industry standard design packages.
The IFS team is looking
for a passionate and driven individual to help define and build
complex systems with highly integrated optical, mechanical,
electrical, thermal, vacuum and control
requirements.
As a Precision Positioning
Engineer, you are responsible for, but not limited
to:
- Define mechanical solutions for high precision positioning modules
- Generate and communicate module requirements, co-develop technical and mechatronic content of architecture, and define functional verification methods
- Translate functional requirements into domain (mechanical, software, electronics, optical) specifications, specify interfaces between modules, and help lead design efforts
- Represent Intel as expert during development phases ranging from proposal through integration
- Drive investigations into candidate solutions and represent merit in terms of business drivers to executive leadership
- Generate and/or maintain engineering documents that clearly catalogue performance requirements and design specifications
- Understand contribution of module to overall system performance and work with integrated team to drive system solutions
- Maintain module performance overview and provide technical direction to resolve or clarify uncertainty in a complex development landscape
- Develop, maintain, and exchange information with experts in own network of professionals to leverage latest developments in market and own field of specialization

Qualifications
You
must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially
considered for this position.
Preferred qualifications
are in addition to the minimum qualifications and are considered a
plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Applied science (i.e. physics, chemistry, materials), Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with 6+ years of experience
Preferred
Qualifications:
- Experience with large system integration, e.g. integrator or architect in multidisciplinary projects
- Interpersonal skills and able to work effectively with multi-cultural development partners across globe
- Self-starter, analytical capabilities, and communication
- Leadership experience in semiconductor manufacturing with direct participation in the application and improvement fields of Servo/Motion Control and signal analysis

Annual Salary
Range for jobs which could be performed in US,
Colorado:
$130,190.00-$221,610.00
