SAP Application and Technology Services - provide customers with end2end application management for all their specific SAP solutions across multiple consumption models like On-Premise, Private Cloud (HEC), Public cloud and Hybrid cloud. We guide and support SAP customers migrate to Cloud and accelerate their Innovation adoption whilst ensuring the stability of their core business. For this to be ensured SAP Application Management Services architecture is designed to run Stable Foundation for the SAP centric solution in scope plus proactively drive Innovation and Continuous Improvement for the solution to support the customer’s business.
The Global SAP Application and Technology Services organization is planning to enhance architect capacities for professional management of innovation and operation in our strategic long-term customer engagements. The architect will assume a strategic advisor role, steering customers towards operational stability and performance and adoption of innovation along roadmaps that help consume advanced SAP software and services while aligning IT strategy with the business strategy.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
* Serving as trusted advisor and guide for all customer IT operations topics
* Represent the entire portfolio set of value add services in SAP’s managed services engagements
* Advisory on governance and best practices (processes and software tools) in IT Operations
* Delivery Executive / Program Manager for large accounts
* Coordination in service delivery cross SAP internal service lines
* Secure renewals through value add and trust building relationship with business impact (innovation and improvement) for the top customers
* Identification of business opportunities for new software and service portfolio elements arising from in depth understanding of solution and business processes
* Advisory on new SAP software releases, feature- and support packages to maximize customer software adoption
* Define roadmap for innovation adoption together with particular subject matter experts
* Management of customer Software Lifecycle in close alignment with software maintenance and release management
* Coordinate the execution of software lifecycle roadmaps in strong collaboration with SAP Public and Private cloud delivery
* Design software lifecycle procedures in strong collaboration with SAP cloud operations
* Actively work with Product, Development and Operations teams to align Application and Technology Services with current and future product and cloud services offerings
* Support Go to market activities (Lead of customer focused solution design in Bid and Pre-sales phase)
* Conduct Project Solution Reviews

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Application specific expert consulting (for a specific application: creation of business blueprint, Implementation based on a blueprint, creation of test cases, test scheduling and execution, key user training, go live support, and post go live support)

Support in escalated projects

Performance of feasibility studies / solution reviews

Support of pre-sales activities (license and consulting)

Identifying and applying Integrated Service Delivery options

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:

Taking over responsibility from time to time as a sub project team lead

Takes responsibility from time to time as team lead and supports respective line manager(s) in people development tasks

Detailed planning of process implementation

Define detailed blueprint for development requirements

Industry /corporate process  implementation across all related  applications (SAP/non-SAP)

Develop and Assure quality of process models

Demonstrating expert knowledge of modeling standards and tools

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Functional Experience

Minimum  seven years consulting experience in application

Has experience with minimum of  minimum 6 full cycle implementations

Deep understanding of industry specific business processes (if applicable)

Has performed several business cases

Has managed  difficult client situations

Understands the Business Process Library approach and is contributing to it

Acts as a moderator in the KM environment

Managerial Experience

Acted as a team  lead in more than 2 projects

Acts as a coach or mentor for colleagues

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

University degree or equivalent work experience
