The Group:
As an integral part of Intel's new IDM2.0 strategy, Intel is establishing Intel Foundry Services (IFS), a fully vertical, standalone foundry business, reporting directly to the CEO. IFS will be a world-class foundry business and a major provider of the US and European-based capacity to serve customers globally with a world-class IP including x86 cores, graphics, media, display, AI, interconnect, fabric, and other critical foundational IP, along with ARM and RISC-V ecosystem IPs.
The Role:
The IFS customer solutions engineering team is rapidly growing and seeking individuals with diverse and adaptable skillsets to navigate a continuously evolving future. As a foundational team member of the manufacturing and validation solutions team, you will have the opportunity to learn about multiple facets of the manufacturing process and choose a domain focus that best aligns with your unique passion and skillset.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Creates, defines and develops system validation environment and test suites. Uses and applies emulation and platform level tools and techniques to ensure performance to spec. Responsible for the development of methodologies, execution of validation plans, and debug of failures. Requires broad understanding of multiple system areas and requires interfaces with Architecture, Design, and Pre silicon Validation teams in improving post silicon test content and providing feedback for future on-die debug features.

  • Ramp manufacturing test programs from pre-Silicon verification to high volume production that meet or exceed customer quality, timeline, and performance expectations.

  • Develop and execute test plans for verifying test software and hardware features before release to production.

  • Collaborate with teams across site locations and disciplines to ramp domain expertise and share knowledge.

  • Design experiments for debug or to expose manufacturing sensitivities to prevent quality excursions.

  • Systematic troubleshooting to resolve issues that may manifest in either the software or hardware domain.

  • Perform data exploration and analysis and present concise reports to management, peers, or domain experts.

  • Innovate algorithms and test methods to optimize test time and cost.

Qualifications


Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research:

Minimum:

  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields.
  • Experience scripting or programming (python or similar)
  • Basic knowledge of PC/system computer architecture, platform hardware and BIOS interaction.


Preferred:(need not have all to apply)

  • Data extraction/manipulation, analysis, exploration, and visualization using Excel, JMP, SQL, python or similar.
  • Ability to apply basic statistical concepts such as mean, standard deviation, normal distribution, and outliers
  • Experience using test equipment such as logic analyzer, oscilloscope, voltage/current meters
  • Able to troubleshoot hardware, and read board layout diagrams and schematics

IFS is already engaged with customers today, starting with our existing foundry offerings. We are expanding imminently to include our most advanced technologies optimized for cutting-edge performance, making them ideal for high-performance applications.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
