As a Product Ecology Engineer, you will be part of a collaborative team driving product ecology compliance and continuous improvement across all Intel business units. You will implement product ecology plans to ensure that Intel's devices meet emerging global ecology requirements.

This Product Ecology Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Collaborating closely with engineering teams, suppliers, and key customers to ensure compliance to product ecology requirements, standards, and specifications
  • Analyzing supplier documentation against ecology regulatory standards
  • Coordinating with internal/external laboratories to test products for chemical content
  • Developing innovative solutions to problems utilizing regulatory knowledge and judgement
  • Responding to product ecology queries from other Intel groups and government regulatory bodies
  • Evaluating risk, developing plans, and estimating testing costs for projects
  • Improving procedures for analysis of designs and implementation of compliance strategies
  • Investigating incidents or events as they occur
  • Staying current with trends and updates in product ecology standards and regulations
  • Working directly with business units to understand and mitigate impact as emerging or changing regulations impact current and/or future products

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills
  • Some travel may be required.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.

This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in chemical engineering, materials science, environmental engineering or related discipline or related field of study

This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization across functional teams and working independently within the framework of roadmaps and department processes
  • 1+ year experience with electronics industry component engineering, ROHS, REACH, WEEE, and other ecology initiatives

Inside this Business Group

Manufacturing and Product Engineering (MPE) is responsible for test development across product segments, supporting 95% of Intel's revenue. We deliver comprehensive pre-production test suites and component/physical debug capabilities to enable high quality, high volume manufacturing.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
