At Apple, Information Security is one of our most critical and pervasive concerns, where the security of our customer data and devices is paramount to our success. We don't just talk the talk, we help engineers at Apple walk the walk by making security easy for them. Security can often be a burden when it comes too late. We want to shift security work to where it is cheapest and easiest to implement. We do this by integrating security into existing pipelines, developing intuitive designs, and focusing resources where they matter most.

As a product owner in Information Security, you will help create a vision and roadmap that aligns to Apple's core beliefs, and meets information security goals and objectives, all while surprising and delighting our internal Apple customers. You will work closely with engineering teams and security verticals to develop and prioritize features that improve the customer experience and lead to better security outcomes. You will identify key metrics to measure success and analyze data to decide where to focus your product next. You will use critical and creative thinking to identify gaps and come up with solutions to user and stakeholder problems.
A critical responsibility of an Information Security Product Owner is to understand the common challenges of information security, and how to achieve them while addressing the unique challenges facing engineering teams that have to ship their products on tight deadlines.   • Experience with researching, designing, building, and deploying new solutions and/or improving existing solutions
  • Excellent project management skills and experience working in a distributed environment with shifting priorities

Description

Information Security is looking for a Product Owner who can own multiple products that achieve critical security objectives. Product Owners in this role are responsible for product vision and strategy, customer advocacy, roadmap and feature development, and customer success.

As a Product Owner you will:
Define and communicate the product vision and strategy.
Own the product roadmap and set expectations with relevant partners.
Work with customers and stakeholders to identify and incorporate features to make security easy and improve security outcomesk/
Define and drive engagement models across multiple engineering and operations teams.
Engage with customers to understand integration and onboarding requirements and desired timelines.
Collaborate with the engineering team to prioritize features and determine the best technical implementation methods.
Create and lead a comprehensive product communications strategy, including engineering status, end-user engagement, and executive updates.
Keep apprised of new technologies/services and find opportunities to automate/simplify/enhance existing products.

Education & Experience

Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience

Additional Requirements

  • Experience working on or directly with software development
  • Knowledge of and experience with one or more information security domains
  • Product Management or Product Design certification is a plus
  • CISSP and related security certifications is a plus
  • Deep experience with one or more information security domains is a plus
