team of dedicated individuals in bringing the next generation
switch products to market. Intel is seeking highly qualified
candidates to join the XFG (Switch and Fabric Group) in our Network
and Edge Group (NEX) as a Product Manager. You will be a key member
in the success of our Ethernet Switching portfolio. We're a strong,
vibrant, cross-site team that helps drive Intel's programmable
switching technology and products to position Tofino as the
switching platform of choice for Cloud and Data Center network
deployments and beyond.
In this role, you will
own one or more network switch ASIC product(s). You will
collaborate closely with the cross-functional teams, partners, and
end-customers to ensure success of the
product(s).
Responsibilities will include, but
are not limited to:
Define the business plan, product and GTM for network switch ASICs
Understand ecosystem and customer requirements and translate them into well documented and detailed product requirements that deliver industry leading and competitive solutions
Drive strategic discussions to secure design wins
Interacting with customers and partners to understand use cases and requirements
Drive strategic discussions to secure design wins
Work with cross functional internal program teams (hardware, software, manufacturing, marketing, sales, customer engineering, ...) to take products through their lifecycle from ideation to development to delivery.
Develop launch strategies and plans, ensuring demos and proof points are available to drive product demand
Work with sales, finance, operations and supply chain to set product forecasts and ensure deliveries meet customer demand
Understand and react to competitive developments, finding wedges to effectively position our products in the market while identifying risks, mitigations and contingencies associated with the roadmap
Collaborate with experts of various domains within Intel to further enhance Intel product offerings

The Connectivity Group (CG), to
which BXD resides, drives new product technologies in the areas of
Programmable switching devices, and Smart NICs, Silicon Photonics
for data center fabrics. The BXD team is driven by deep engineering
skills and a love of cutting-edge projects. We are building the
world's fastest switches that are also fully programmable, ensuring
the network can adapt to meet the emerging needs of applications
and empower users to write solutions rapidly, and to innovate
broadly. We believe that when the network is fully
programmable-that is, both the control plane and data plane are
under the control of the end user- the networking industry will
enjoy the same innovative explosion as we have seen in
software.
Qualifications
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be
initially considered for this position Preferred qualifications are
in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus
factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Required
Qualifications:
5+ years' experience in product management or architecture in network switch, network infrastructure or related products
7+ years' Experience with cloud and network service providers
Technical depth in end-to-end network architectures
Technical understanding of the elements of service provider data centers
Undergraduate degree in an engineering field, or equivalent work experience
Additional Preferred
Qualifications:
Master's degree is a plus
7+ years of experience in networking industry
5+ years of experience in product management
Experience with hyperscale data center operators

Work Model
for this Role
This role will be
eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split
their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and
off-site.
