Job Description

 This role is an opportunity to be a part of Intel's Corporate Quality Network organization working for the Product Quality and Reliability Engineering (QRE) team. As a Product QRE you will play a vital role in the design, qualification and product launch of Intel's latest Server, CPU, and 5G products.

The Product Quality and Reliability Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Ensure pre-Si circuit designs and product quality and reliability requirements meet Intel's high standards through design simulation and verification.
  • Pre-Si Quality and Reliability Design Requirements are comprehended and verified.
  • Definition, execution, and data analysis of Post-Si Quality and Reliability experiments.
  • Provide pre-Si reliability risk assessments for a variety of circuits and products, considering scenarios, including, but not limited to, use conditions, new product features, performance enhancements.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with Design, Technology Development and Back End Test for product qualification. Work with process technology teams to identify and solve reliability roadblocks for pre-Si design and post-Si qualification milestones.
  • Lead risk assessment of failures, working with Design, Manufacturing, Test, and Failure Analysis groups.
  • Development of reliability stress and data collection methods.
  • Be a champion of quality across business groups at Intel.
  • Issue management, ensure quality goals are met on a consistent basis and resolve customer issues.

This an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly


 You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science (Physics, Chemistry) or Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Materials) or related field of study.
  • 6+ months of experience in at least one of the following:
    • Data collection and statistical data analysis, especially statistical process control.
    • Design of experiments, measurement capability analysis, and screening experiments.
    • Experience in VLSI circuit design, circuit simulations and verification, physical design.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Semiconductor manufacturing, packaging, reliability/device physics.
  • Knowledge in design methodology (circuit simulations, physical circuit design, layout design).
  • Experience in overall VLSI design flow.
  • Awareness of the respective implications of Quality and Reliability design requirements to circuit and product.
  • Data Based Problem Solving using tools such as SQL Scripting, JMP Statistical analysis.
  • Structured problem-solving methodology (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
  • Hands on experience with equipment and PCB troubleshooting and debug utilizing lab instrumentation e.g. Oscilloscopes, Digital Multi Meters, tool schematics and board files.
  • Lab Programming Languages - SW Development High Level Languages (Labview, Python, PERL, Java) / Low Level (Assembly, C++).

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
