We are looking for an engineer to act as a product security expert (PSE). This role is focused on proactive security vulnerability prevention. Requires thorough knowledge of security practices, procedures and capabilities. Your responsibilities will include:
Guide development teams through security development best practices and in meeting security assurance needs.
Determine solid strategies for security validation, provide consultation, and implement specialized parts of those plans.
Remain knowledgeable of tools and techniques used in security validation: fuzzing, pen testing and others.
Participate and conduct threat model reviews.
Assess projects to analyze risks and devise mitigation strategies.
Tailor security validation approach according to project security objectives and risks.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related discipline and experience with the following technical skills:
Experience with Open Source Software, including being comfortable with the use of source code in the place of classic written documentation.
Requires the skills to extrapolate design issues and potential vulnerability from early stage specifications
Must be able to determine solid strategies for security validation, provide consultation, and implement specialized parts of those plans
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with penetration and fuzz testing.
Knowledge of current exploits and the ability to use those methods to prevent or identify the potential for similar exploits in newly developed software Demonstrated experience with Linux kernel software and virtualization software stack.
Familiarity with several programming languages, such as C, C++, Python, etc. Willingness to learn new ones.

Work Model for this Role
