Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and astute individual to join our team as a Product Security Engineer. You will be joining a collaborative team responsible for building the world's leading programmable Ethernet switches. In this role, you will use your knowledge of networking, security, mathematics, and computation to design and implement systems that enhance production security of cloud and telecommunications infrastructure. You are an expert in trustworthy computing and firmware security.

In this role:

  • You will be the Product Security Expert for the Barefoot Switch Division.

  • You will oversee the governance processes around product security and security vulnerabilities.

  • You will be responsible for threat modeling and assessments, review of security architecture, and responding to vulnerability reports and incidents.

  • You will ensure products conform to Intel's security standards.

  • You know our customers, and you know the secure infrastructure requirements that their customers need.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills in addition to the qualifications listed below:

  • Strong analytical ability, problem solving and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and at various levels of abstraction

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Passion for staying abreast of the latest industry best practices and threats


Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications:
MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Related Discipline

  • 6+ years of experience in networking

  • 3+ years of experience in virtualization security, trustworthy computing, or public key infrastructure



Preferred Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in ASIC design

  • 5+ years of experience in Silicon Hardening and Firmware Security

  • Experience deploying, monitoring, and maintaining the security of datacenter hardware and software.

  • Experience in device security from fabrication to deployment

  • Proficient in embedded development using C

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
