This is an exciting opportunity to join the Strategic Engagement Systems (SES) team of the Strategic Missile Defense (SMD) Business Area as the SM-3 IIA Production Business Manager. The SM-3 IIA Production Program is a $1.5B Domestic Sale and Foreign Military Sale to Japan through the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). This role will manage the execution of the existing multi-year contract to deliver 62 SM-3 IIA All up Rounds (AURs) as well as help negotiate and execute the ~$850M follow-on Missile award expected late 2021.
This position requires significant partnership with Program Management, Functional Leads, and the entire Program Controls team to ensure flawless program execution concentrating on cost and schedule control and EVMS compliance. What sets this role and the overall program apart is the regular customer interaction with finance. In this role, you are expected to build strong relationships with their customer counterparts to support both EVMS compliance and contract execution.
You will be an integrated part of a fast-paced finance team where tactical thinking, multitasking and personal initiative are key requirements. You will be able to provide support for ad hoc data reporting as well as participating in senior level projects and product-line initiatives. The program has high visibility at all levels of the SES and SMD organizations; frequent exposure to senior administration should be expected.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
As a critical member of the SM-3 IIA finance team:
  1. You will lead a team of 8 (likely 10-12 with new awards) in executing a variety of program and financial control actions, including supporting quarterly Estimates-at-Complete (EACs), Monthly Program Reviews, and contract-specific external deliverables. This program has one Major EAC and will add a second Major EAC with the follow-on production contract expected in late 2021.
  2. Full external reporting is required under the existing production contract as well as the follow-on production contract expected in late 2021.
  3. You will utilize the full complement of program controls tools (Business Warehouse, SAP/APEX, PMX Tool Suite) to provide targeted EVMS analysis that guides efficiencies and meets internal and external EVMS compliance standards.
An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Masters is equal to 2 years of experience or a Ph.D. is equal to 4 years of experience.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in proposal development and/or program implementation and/or finance experience
  • Experience with Full External EVMS (Earned Value Management) Reporting
  • Experience with MS Excel (advanced) and analytical skills
  • Experience in executing to different contract types (CPFF,CPIF,CPAF, FFP, FPIF and/or T&M), with an understanding of financial implications on program implementation of contract type
Qualifications We Value:

  • Establish and maintain the overall baseline that is compliant with the program instruction, internal EVM policy and RTN EVMS Process Description 10255
  • Good communication, presentation, and teamwork skills. Prior experience managing junior analysts and promoting growth across a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to interact face-to-face with senior levels of administration.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage time and prioritize workload.
  • Self-motivated and able to develop solutions to a variety of problems of significant scope and complexity with minimal supervision.
  • Developing partnerships and alliances to create cross-organizational teams focusing on business capture
  • Ability to work in a very fast paced environment and adapt quickly to a wide range of work assignments and time requirements
  • Must be flexible and willing to deal with a wide range of work assignments
  • Thorough critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Prepare for & help lead the Integrated Baseline Review (IBR) w/ MDA

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
