Responsibilities:
The Production Operations Trainer for Healthcare Services Recovery is responsible for conducting initial and ongoing operational training for staff for assigned across clients and services. In addition, this position partners with management to identify needs for and to create and/or revise training content, materials and/or process documents based upon changing client requirements, internal business needs and/or continuous improvement. In support of the operations business need as well as to maintain current knowledge of applicable programs, the Trainer will also perform account activity work as assigned.

Essential Duties:
-Maintain in-depth knowledge and requirements regarding multiple business segments and remain cognizant of ongoing and sometimes rapid changes.
-Regularly works assigned accounts in designated focus area as directed by management to maintain current skills and applied knowledge of client program transaction/call workflow details and maintain credibility with operational staff. Demonstrates program knowledge and expertise by consistently achieving productivity and quality measures based upon assignment. Volume of account activity in any given week or month will vary based upon training classes and activities. 
-Maintain understanding of client and legal regulatory and compliance requirements.
-Coordinates and delivers initial training, as well as ongoing training as required for periodic refreshers, performance improvement, new or modified processes, tools and procedures, etc. 
-Partners with applicable management and/or internal resources as required to develop, modify, deliver, and evaluate operational training content and materials.
-Reviews divisional, focus group, team, and employee level operational reports and statistics, and on-the-floor observations to identify trends of activity that may benefit from additional training, modifications to training, or process, procedure or policy improvement opportunity with the objective of maximizing efficiency, quality and overall operational results. 
-Conducts follow-up interview/audits of employees for the purpose of obtaining information relating to continuous improvement of training. 
-Advises management of operational knowledge/training gaps, staff development issues, and other observations and areas of opportunity that may involve operations training.  Partners with management on training action plans to address needs and opportunities.
-Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of client needs, organizational objectives, as well as an understanding of company operating policies and procedures.  
-Assures adherence to timing, schedules, work plans and performance requirements.  
-Regularly interacts with management at all levels.  Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations and without damage to the relationship.
-Identifies and replicates best practices.

-Knowledge in adult learning principles, coaching techniques, presentation methods and tools for classroom, or online training programs.

-Demonstrated ability to sustain strong production performance and compliance in applicable business area.

Physical Requirements:
Job is in a busy standard office environment with moderate noise level, sits at a desk during scheduled shift, uses office phone system; views a computer monitor, types on a keyboard and uses a mouse. Reads and comprehends information in electronic (computer) or paper form (written/printed).
-Sit/stand 8 or more hours per day; has the option to stand as needed while on calls; stands while delivery training in classroom setting; reach as needed to use office equipment
-Consistently viewing a computer screen and types frequently, but not constantly, using a keyboard 
-Communicates on the phone; head-set is also provided
-Occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 10lbs.

Education and Experience:

Experience and Education:
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-Some college courses in applicable business area or education, or equivalent combination of education and practical experience
-Experience in a role with similar scope preferred
-Experience in Healthcare Recovery Services, specifically MSP (Medicare Secondary Payer) highly preferred
 

Other Requirements:
-Performant is a government contractor and has specific client requirements.
-Must submit to and pass background check. Must not have any Federal or State liens resulting from County, State or Federal tax issues.  Must not have any current defaulted student loans.
-Must be able to pass a criminal background check; must not have any felony convictions or specific misdemeanors.
-Must submit to and pass drug screen.
-Certain client assignments for this position may require submission to and successful outcome of additional background and/or clearances throughout employment with the Company
