World Changers Welcome.  Join us and make your mark.

The University of Glasgow, established in 1451, is a member of the UK's Russell Group of leading universities. The University is committed to enhancing its position as one of the world's great broad-based research-intensive universities.

The School of Computing Science is looking for a Professor of Cybersecurity to consolidate and expand existing research and teaching in cybersecurity as part of a strategic expansion. The successful candidate will take the lead on the recruitment of a further three academic staff at Lecturer / Senior Lecturer / Reader level. Together with several existing academic staff whose research involves various aspects of cybersecurity, these will form a new Section within the School, led by the successful candidate.

The candidate should demonstrate an outstanding track record of national and international distinction and leadership in research, including publications, income and awards, bringing external recognition and distinction to yourself and the University. The position would suit either an established leader in the field who wants a new challenge in building the Section, or an up-and-coming research star looking for an opportunity to develop their own direction. In either case there should be a clear vision of the future of cybersecurity in Glasgow.

Early applications and enquiries are welcome.  Please contract Mrs Tracey Aydogan, Head of International & Academic Resourcing, email Tracey.Aydogan@glasgow.ac.uk, telephone: +44 141 330 2481.
