Job Description

Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) seeks a Program Management Support Office (PMSO) Part-Time Student Assistant for its Mission Assurance Branch for spring 2021. The Student Assistant will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, delivery, tracking, and inventory of critical parts. This may include coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and engineers, as well as other elements of the parts handling process.

This position allows for the opportunity to learn about government standards and regulations as related to parts handling and quality assurance requirements, as well as develop and implement processes across the program, lab, and potentially the organization. This position will require someone with exceptional organizational, coordination, communication, and customer service skills.

This position will require in-person attendance at the Cobb County Research Facility (CCRF) 2-3x/week, as well as the ability to handle and deliver parts. The candidate must be willing to follow GTRI Covid-19 safety procedures and protocols while in GTRI facilities.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Student Assistant/Research Assistant

Pursuing a Bachelors degree in STEM, business, or related fields,
Must be registered for at least 6 credit hours with your university during working semesters
3.0 or higher GPA
Ability to come into CCRF in person 2-3x/week, ideally spaced throughout the week
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong problem solving and organizational skills
Ability to clearly communicate with suppliers, vendors, and team members
