Project Engineering Consultant III – Mechanical (Multiple Positions)

(Stantec Energy & Resources, Inc.; Bakersfield, CA)Develop equipment mechanical specification and data sheet for gas compressors, tanks, pumps, heat exchanger, pressure vessels, flares, and other mechanical equipment based on API and ASTM standards, and ASME BPV code Section VIII Div. 1 and 2. Apply API standards 650, 12D, 12F, and 12B for Design and Construction of Welded and Bolted Tanks for Oil Storage. Perform pressure vessels calculation per ASME Boiler Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII Div. 1 and 2. Perform Piping Stress Analysis based on ASME Piping Code in static and dynamic conditions. Perform piping mechanical calculations based on ASME Piping Codes B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, and ASME B16.5. Perform hydraulic calculation. Perform quality assurance reviews to piping plans, transposition drawings, isometric drawings, and 3D models. Develop cost estimate for Oil, Water, and Gas Facilities according with AACE international practices. Develop Material Take-off based on drawings and 3D models.

Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, plus 5 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience.

Of the required experience, 1 year of experience must be in each of the following: Performing Dynamic Stress Analysis using COADE Caesar II software; developing piping hydraulic analysis using PIPEPHASE, AFT Fathom, and Synergi pipeline simulator software; and, developing cost estimate for Oil, Water, and Gas Facilities according with AACE international practices; and, 5 years of experience must be in each of the following: Performing Stress Analysis using COADE Caesar II software for above and underground piping systems; performing pressure vessel calculations using COADE PV Elite and CodeCalc software; developing equipment mechanical specification and data sheet for oil and gas mechanical equipment; utilizing 2D and 3D piping platforms Autocad, CADWorx, and Navisworks; developing Material Take-off from 3D platforms CADWorx and Navisworks; project drawings with field construction; and, developing project scope and Job Definition Documents.

Travel up to 10% required.
