We're looking for a Project Manager to be part of the AppleCare BPR (Business Process Re-engineering) team. The role will coordinate the preparation of required documentation based on the project size, identify partners and align resources to the project, effectively and clearly communicate project status, lead project risk, monitor the change readiness of the business, and conduct post-implementation audit reviews for AppleCare. The successful candidate must have a solid ability to lead medium to large size, global projects that are cross-functional in nature

Key Qualifications

  • Experience planning, managing, delivering medium (6-8 month) to large (8-12+ month) systems projects
  • Solid ability to manage to deadlines and meet cost constraints
  • Proficient at running multiple efforts simultaneously in a global company
  • Excellent communication across project and management teams
  • Excellent leadership skills that improve project team effectiveness
  • Ability to develop new strategies and options for new projects
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Proficient knowledge of systems implementation and development life cycles
  • Proficient in business process flow diagramming
  • Ability to facilitate brainstorming sessions to collect requirements
  • Ability to perform robust business process analysis and recommend solutions
  • Literacy with word-processing, electronic spreadsheets, and project planning tools
  • Consulting background experience preferred
  • Service support or warranty contract experience is a plus
  • Logistics project interest and experience preferred

Description

In this exciting position, you will incorporate Apple's best practices for project management to ensure consistent delivery of a quality project. You will also lead, plan and organize project activities as well as manage projects across multiple AppleCare disciplines spanning sales, service, support, and logistics. In addition, you will:

Develop business project plans and schedules while balancing business needs and expectations

Identify and lead business project team to major achievements

Identify and get key business partners to support project roles

Manage project risk throughout the life of the project

Create and maintain issues logs to ensure accountability for resolution of key issues

Communicate with customers to ensure quality of product and service on a regular basis

Prioritize and delegate key project tasks to team members

Ensure the business is prepared for the change

Work with the customers to get alternatives for key problems

Write or edit formal business requirements documents for projects/enhancements

Lead brainstorming sessions to gather requirements

Assist business units in creating quality documents required for project approvals

Complete business case documentation for senior management on selected projects

Transfer knowledge to business unit employees as required

Act as a liaison between the business and technology teams to ensure business project needs are adequately met with technology solutions

Assist the business in developing strategy for specific business process areas

Work on broker agreements between multiple areas of the business and our systems development partners

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree required, MBA a plus
