Salary Range:

$86,300 - $166,800

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are seeking a Project Manager to support the W80-4 Connectors and LAC PRTs. This PM will provide leadership and oversight to programmatic activities, including cost and funding activities, schedule management, earned value management, change control, risk management, and reporting responsibilities.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Interact with high ranking internal management and external NNSA

+ Work independently to develop and lead PM, Risk and Schedule solutions within the Connectors/LAC team.

+ Interpret programmatic requirements and the ability to negotiate with the Systems Program Management team

+ Communicate programmatic information up to internal and external Sr. level leaderships

+ Build partnerships across sites with KCNSC counterparts

+ Work collaboratively on a team of project controllers and interns to execute on programmatic deliverables

Qualifications We Require:

+ Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline plus five or more years of directly related experience, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

+ Equivalent experience in lieu of degree must be directly related experience that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job

+ Active DOE-Q level (or DOD equivalent) clearance to start

+ Ability to gain and maintain access to the Sandia Classified Network (SCN)

Qualifications We Desire:

+ Familiarity with the W80-4 program, change control processes/Joint Impact Assessment (JIA) Processes

+ Understanding of Connectors/Interconnects/LAC

+ Ability to work independently to develop and lead PM, Risk, Schedule solutions with the Connectors/LAC team

+ Experienced individual that is comfortable interacting with high ranking internal management and external NNSA

+ Strong ability to interpret programmatic requirements and the ability to negotiate with the Systems Program Management team

+ Strong communication skills and relationship building skills to partner internally and across external sites

+ Experience working with connectors/LAC/components on previous high rigor, ND projects

+ Knowledge of the 6.X process

+ Previous project management experience

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q security clearance to start, or equivalent active security clearance with another U.S. government agency (e.g., DOD). Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants for employment need to be able to maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
