What Your Job Will Be Like:



We are seeking a Project Manager to provide leadership and oversight to programmatic activities, including cost and funding activities, schedule management, earned value management, change control, risk management, and reporting responsibilities for the W87-1 Cables team as well as act as a SME for the WR and JTA Cables and on the Project Management side.



On any given day, you may be called on to:





+ Interact with high ranking internal management and external NNSA



+ Work independently to develop and lead PM, Risk and Schedule solutions within the Cables team.



+ Interpret programmatic requirements and the ability to negotiate with the Systems Program Management team



+ Communicate programmatic information up to internal and external Sr. level leaderships



+ Build partnerships across sites with KCNSC counterparts



+ Work collaboratively on a team of project controllers and interns to execute on programmatic deliverables





Qualifications We Require:





+ Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline plus fiveor more years of directly related experience, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.



+ Equivalent experience in lieu of degree must be directly related experience that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job.Experience working with EVMS as well as previous project management experience







+ Active DOE Q-level (or DOD equivalent) security clearance





Qualifications We Desire:





+ Experienced individual that is comfortable interacting with high ranking internal management and external NNSA



+ Strong ability to interpret programmatic requirements and the ability to negotiate with the Systems Program Management team



+ Strong communication skills



+ Experience working with interconnects (Cables, Connectors, LAC, System Adapters) on previous high rigor, ND projects



+ Knowledge of the 6.X process



+ Previous project management experience



+ Hardware managment experience



+ Clear understanding/ability to communicate Risk Management principles and use of Risk Threat and Opportunity tools (ARM, etc.) in high rigor project settings



+ Clear understanding of Change Control/Change Management processes



+ Experience with the following tools: P6, ARC, ARM, PET/CET, EVMS, COBRA, MAT, Milestone Professional, and Empower

Security Clearance:



Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q security clearance to start, or equivalent active security clearance with another U.S. government agency (e.g., DOD). Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications.
