About the Group:
As an integral part of Intel's new IDM2.0
strategy, we are establishing Intel Foundry Services (IFS), a fully
vertical, standalone foundry business, reporting directly to the
CEO. IFS will be a world-class foundry business and major provider
of US and European-based capacity to serve customers globally.
Intel Foundry Services will be differentiated from other Foundry
offerings with a combination of leading-edge packaging and process
technology, committed capacity in the US and Europe - available for
customers globally - and a world-class IP portfolio that customers
can choose from including x86 cores, graphics, media, display, AI,
interconnect, fabric and other critical foundational IP, along with
Arm and RISC-V ecosystem IPs. IFS will also provide access to
silicon design services to help our customers seamlessly turn
silicon into solutions, using industry-standard design
packages.
This business unit is completely dedicated to
the success of its customers with full P and L responsibilities.
This model will ensure that our foundry customers' products will
receive our utmost focus in terms of service, technology enablement
and capacity commitments. IFS is already engaged with customers
today starting with our existing foundry offerings and we are
expanding imminently to include our most advanced technologies,
which are optimized for cutting-edge performance, making them ideal
for high-performance
applications.
The
Role:
We are looking for independent and highly motivated
Lab Manager with strong RFIC product testing experiences. As the RF
Lab Manager, you will be responsible for all testing functions in a
highly advanced RF lab. Working with a talented team, you will
collaborate across the site to identify and source new component
needs, manage multiple calibration schedules, and ensure sufficient
inventory of off-the-shelf lab supplies to support the team's
dynamic RD needs. Manages maintenance and repair of equipment and
tools minimizing downtime. Builds and repairs custom test
benches.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Manage and coordinate lab activities in support of product development
Determine short-term and long-term lab needs to support new product development
Provides technical assistance to engineers and technicians when needed.
Planning, active management, and maintenance of lab facilities, equipment, and supplies
Manages automated test systems, RF component inventory, and yearly calibration schedules
Participates in the definition and implementation of corporate ESD policies
Ensures compliance with quality regulations and participate in the ISO9001/IATF-16949 audit
Orders and maintains a sufficient stock of RF lab supplies
Capital equipment planning, management, and purchasing
Installs automation software patches and firmware updates
Troubleshoots and repairs test equipment as necessary
Setup and reconfigures test benches for project-specific needs
Support design team to perform RFIC reference design testing.
Perform RFIC bring up planning and execution. Bring up including environment (cable, etc) calibrations.
Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years related experience
Leadership role in previous work
Extensive experience with cellular spectrum analysis and RF signal modulation
Proficiency with RF test instrumentation
Knowledge and experience with wireless carrier networks including design, implementation, operation and maintenance
Knowledge and experience with radio access network equipment installations
Strong logical troubleshooting skills. Ability to solve RF system issues
Expertise with coaxial cabling, ability to terminate connectors, sweep and PIM test lines
Experience in lab environments with knowledge of RF shielding enclosures and rooms
Adapt at using creative and innovative thinking to solve problems
Validated ability to work independently and also collaborate effectively within a team
Experience handling cellular installation projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Software Knowledge:
MS Windows Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
Test equipment communication schemes and utilization (PXI, VISA, SCPI, GPIB, etc.)
Preferred:
Understand Scattering Parameter measurements and RF system calibration methodologies (Scalar/Vector Error Correction). Experience with cellular handset signals and measurements (2G/3G/4G/4.5G).
Working knowledge of MS Visio, Atlassian JIRA, Autodesk AutoCAD and C/C++
