  • Responsible for the technical definition of next generation RFIC's for cellular wireless communication.

  • Requires working in an interdisciplinary field of engineering that focuses on design of complex engineering systems over their life cycles. This includes the definition of advanced architecture principals and RF systems covering all ingredients from the antenna to the digital interface.

  • This role involves working closely with circuit designers, software developers, and verification engineers to implement best in class RF and mmWave solutions.

  • Tasks include modelling and simulating RF lineups and impairments to properly define block level specifications in order to meet system level requirements.

  • The successful candidate should have a solid understanding of cellular standards, be able to budget RF impairments and level plans, and capable of negotiating with other teams for features and deliveries.

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MSEE or equivalent with at least 5 years relevant experience

Experience with one or more of the following:

  • RF circuit design, digital RTL design, cellular chipset development, 3GPP cellular standards, RF impairment modelling, RF chain lineup analysis, RF partitioning, RF link budget analysis, and signal processing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Matlab.

  • Experience defining a cellular RF lineup and the associated blocks and algorithms.

Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
