Job Summary:
As the project execution leader of the RMD Digital Transformation (DTx) Portfolio, this exciting role works closely with the DTx Portfolio Director to coordinate execution efforts across the portfolio which include the development of transformational capabilities across all phases of the product development lifecycle. The DTx portfolio is a complex cross-functional effort comprised of multiple investment funding streams focused on accelerating the business impact of transformative digital capabilities to achieve dramatic reductions in product development cycle time. Major capability areas include digital engineering support, factory automation, product health management, decision support, and workplace collaboration.
This role will partner with the DTx Product Leaders and Functional Leaders to focus on the day to day execution of the portfolio. This leader will evaluate the product team performance leveraging efficient use of agile metrics, risks, opportunities, and general status, to help solve problems, and remove barriers to execution. This position will manage the day to day operational cadence of the DTx portfolio, integrating key activities into a seamless portfolio that can leverage best practices, people skills and cross utilization of resources. This role will assist the DTx Portfolio Director with emerging tasks critical to achieving key business objectives.
This leader will partner with the DTx Portfolio Director to continually seek out efficient ways to streamline processes around the agile development framework and execution methodologies to help the product teams focus on achieving business value. This lead will embrace the vision of the DTx portfolio operating as a lean and agile portfolio, providing regular and frequent capability releases to the RMD pathfinder programs.

Preferred location is Tucson, AZ or Boston, MA but would consider location near one of the smaller RMD location. Requires the ability to travel about 15% of the time

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Provide analysis and next steps, and/or areas for deeper dive analysis for the DTx Portfolio Lead as needed.
  • Pull necessary resources and teams together to solve challenges and capture opportunities.
  • Work with Finance and Product teams to compile portfolio performance metrics, risks & opportunities, and status
  • Leverage RTX best practices and lessons learned to help improve portfolio and product team performance.
  • Seek out innovative opportunities to achieve this vision, and is empowered to embed them into the way this portfolio operates around execution.
  • Prepare the DTx monthly briefing packages or Wiki scripts for the CIO, Exec Steering Team; RMD Ops reviews (RMD & DT).
  • Facilitate meetings with senior leaders, business stakeholders and steering committee by setting agendas, developing material and integrating decisions and actions into portfolio.
  • Manage the DTx integration office Wiki, Rshare structure and 30-60-90 plan.
  • Drive the DTx Integration Portfolio program cadence; ensuring needed content is ready with sufficient setbacks prior to each meeting/review.
  • Drive & execute portions of the DTx change management and communication plans in partnership with RMD Comms and OE.
  • Compile Monthly/Qtrly reporting on Comms/OCM progress and stakeholder issues.
  • Help determine innovative solutions for accelerating change and adoption to support our Agile framework.
  • Support collaboration and capture of synergies with related enterprise initiatives and services.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors degree; preferably in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Or Business related discipline
  • 12 years of work experience; preferably in Program Management, Operations, Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leadership, Engineering, or similar experience
  • Experience leading large cross-functional teams
  • Prior experience in project management infrastructure and/or processes such as IPDS, EVMS, Risk Management, Financial Forecasting and EACs
  • Prior experience with interacting and course correcting technical teams to support customer goals
  • Prior experience leading in an Agile development environment
  • Prior experience with change management and large enterprise initiatives
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:
  • Advanced degree or MBA is desired
  • PM Certified Level 6 or 5 (or equivalent)
  • EVMS Certified (or equivalent)
  • Strong communication skills and experience presenting to customers and senior leadership
  • Knowledge navigating the organization and working with stakeholders across the company to develop solutions to key program challenges
  • Experience with DevSecOps, Model Based Engineering, Composability, Open Systems Architecture
  • Engineering knowledge and/or experience
  • Manufacturing knowledge and/or experience
  • Global Supply Chain knowledge and/or experience

Additional Details:
This position requires either a U.S. Person or Non- U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
