Job Description Overview

The Sales Development Representative is the foundation of the DME function and is primarily tasked with strategically sourcing contact lists of individuals meeting our target requirements, and ensuring these quality lists are fully leverageable in all systems and across team members.  This role requires extreme attention to detail and thorough researching skills. 

 

 Duties and Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for sourcing and creating contact lists of individuals meeting our target requirements.
  • Upload sourced lists into Toutapp for DME 2s to leverage in campaigns.
  • Set up Toutapp campaign templates for DME 2s to customize in their outbound efforts.
  • Drive attendance to events through calls and emails, to individuals specified by DME 2s and Field Marketing personnel.
  • Validate firmographic/demographic quality based on available information, and ensure unassigned inbound marketing responses are quickly assigned to the appropriate DME 2.
  • Accept and route inbound calls from the phone number on ariba.com.
  • Assist DME Manager with weekly team reporting.
  • Represent Ariba’s in a positive and professional manner.  
  • Learn and understand company’s products, competitors and positioning within industries at a high level.
  • Use company CRM application to accurately assign marketing activities.
  • Exercise judgment with defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action while working towards increased productivity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience with lead generation or inside sales.
  • Supplier Management, Supply Chain, or Spend Management experience.
  • Experience identifying target contacts.
  • Able to quickly qualify potential customers using proven sales Methodologies.
  • Proven communication success both in person and over the phone

Basic Minimum Qualifications
