SAP Concur is looking for an experienced Marketing Operations Director to manage our global martech stack, and help us reach the next stage of growth for our business. This proven marketing leader drives success by connecting people, process and marketing technology to fuel data driven marketing strategies that deliver measurable growth, customer value and a competitive advantage. 

 

Our ideal candidate has a deep understanding of marketing, martech and data management, strong communication skills, humility, cultural sensitivity and passion. He or she naturally curious, thinks outside the box, works well under pressure and leads collaborative, high performance teams who are encouraged to have fun, fail fast, and achieve measurable results.

 

Responsibilities

·       Build, manage, and optimize the martech stack throughout the entire customer journey. Understand the business and marketing strategy, and invest in the right solutions and processes to support it.
 

·       Lead and empower a team of marketing automation specialists who are responsible for the day to day operations, health, innovation, and governance of our marketing automation ecosystem - including Marketo, AWS, and other technologies to support the entire demand funnel.   

 

·       Manage and maintain the design and execution of lead management processes, marketing database and governance strategies, demand generation programs, nurturing and scoring programs within Marketo, AWS and other technologies
 

·       Contribute to marketing strategy, and translate that strategy into technology needs with strong collaboration with marketing stakeholders from across the business.
 

·       Drive change management, training, and enablement for a community of 250 willing marketers across 25 markets globally.
 

·       Balance technology and business process optimization and needs with short term business objectives with long term strategic capability investments. Determine what to rip and replace, what to build from scratch, and what to optimize and improve.
 

·       Establish and maintain processes and tools such as Agile and JIRA to manage global martech requests from marketing stakeholders by specifying, prioritizing, and communicating project timeframes, dependencies and risks  

 

·       Collaborate with cross functional business partners across marketing, IT, sales operations, sales,  to ensure ongoing alignment of data and system architecture across the broader SAP Concur tech stack.

       

 

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree required
  • 10+ years of relevant B2B work experience in marketing or marketing operations
  • 8+ years marketing technology, and CRM experience (Marketo and Saleforce.com experience strongly preferred).
  • 5+ years management experience
  • Experience working with industry data visualization tools, digital analytics tools, and at least one modern programming language.
  • Experience leading and empowering teams of direct reports and distributed stakeholders 
  • Experience working with global business owners, and define multi-country technical requirements

·       Able to develop strong working relationships with peers, and can foster cooperation in non-hierarchical relationships.

·       An acute listener, able to diagnose before prescribing

·       Excels at troubleshooting and problem solving

  • Has demonstrable marketing acumen, and understands their application to systems
  • Solid attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously amid ambiguity  
  • Ability to implement marketing technologies from scratch, inherit and improve technologies, or rip and replace existing technologies and integrate with enterprise applications

·       Ability to pass a background check
