Position Description

As a Program Manager within SAP Concur’s Governance team, you will be responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the Concur Controls Framework (CCF), developing and driving self-assessment programs for high risk products and functions, and contributing significantly to the development of an overall Governance program.  Your ability to bridge the gap between business need and technical solution will be critical to the success of the Governance program.  Your ability to collaborate with the Compliance team to proactively identify opportunities for improvement in our processes, tools and communications will greatly improve the value delivered by the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) team in general, and will be critical to driving overall improved performance in the areas of compliance and risk management for SAP Concur.

This role will partner closely with Compliance Engineering and IT on the automated delivery of evidence and the transition to a SharePoint solution for evidence management.  This role will also be heavily involved in the integration of our processes, tools, and data management with SAP and other SAP subsidiaries.

In order to accomplish this, you will need to:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the CCF, how the data is organized and interrelated, where there are gaps and/or overlaps in data, and the underlying structure of the database itself.
  • Develop an understanding of SAP Concur’s compliance environment, including roles and responsibilities, processes, frameworks and the rhythm of the business.
  • Partner with Compliance and Risk teams to understand how and where Governance can support and improve their processes via standardization and alignment. 
  • Develop an understanding of SAP GRC processes and tools and where the main integration points are, especially as it relates to the data in CCF and SAP’s multi-dimensional control framework.
  • Define and manage all self-assessment program and project activities, including, but not limited to: scope and priority setting, building and/or understanding business requirements, identifying interdependencies, resourcing, KPI monitoring, budgeting, training, communication planning and overall roadmap
  • Drive stakeholders and leadership alignment across the different businesses to deliver on top GRC priorities.

What you need to bring?

  • Proven success in building and driving projects within a large, complex program, including working with international, multi-cultural, and virtual cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to build consensus, create momentum, influence others, and work well cross-functionally with other departments and varying levels of management.
  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment
  • Strong SQL database, SharePoint and Excel skills required
  • 5+ years leading cross-organizational projects & programs
  • Familiarity with controls and auditing; risk/compliance experience a plus
