This is a Physical Security, Secured Area Operations, and Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AA&E) position. Responsibilities include implementation and compliance with all US Government and Raytheon Technologies security requirements. Incumbent will provide guidance and direction to Closed Area Custodians and Contractor Program Security Officers (CPSO). This role will coordinate with external and internal customers on physical security requirements, and interface with Raytheon management on major matters pertaining to the programs polices, plans, and objectives.

Job Duties Include but are not limited to:
  1. Leads physical security requirements to safeguard classified information across the business as it relates to meeting new construction and renovation requirements for standing up closed areas and SAPs/SCIFs.
  2. Responsible for oversight of all closed area compliance across the business to ensure all aspects of customer requirements are being met (e.g. NISPOM, JAFAN 6/9, ICD 705, and UL 2050).
  3. Reviews building construction/remodel design plans. This person must be able to communicate vision and strategies effectively with both Raytheon leadership and strategic partners.
  4. This position may involve travel on company business.

This position can be a Sr. Technical Security Specialist (G08) or Principal Technical Security Specialist (G09) based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Required Education, Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or 8 years equivalent related experience in lieu of degree PLUS the following:;
  • Sr. Technical Security Specialist - Minimum 4 years experience in Security related position (12 years of experience without a degree)
  • Principal Technical Security Specialist - Minimum 6 years experience in Security related position (14 years of experience without a degree)
  • Experience with any of the following: NISPOM or ICD 705 requirements
  • Experience in threat assessment, risk analysis, integrated physical security systems and/or evaluations of security measures
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Desired Education, Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelors/Masters Degree in Business Management, Security and/or Risk Management, Government Policy, Information Management, Criminal Justice, or other related major
  • Possess a minimum of a current, final Secret security clearance with an investigation not older than 6 years on the first day of employment.
  • Experience maintaining a Physical Security program consisting of Sensitive Conventional Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AA&E)
  • Professional certifications i.e., Physical Security Professional (PSP), Physical Security Certification (PSC), Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC).
  • Experience in a multi-site environment utilizing state-of-the-art electronics with knowledge of TCP/IP, fiber-optic and CAD experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to collaborate with other businesses in developing and maintaining a progressive security program.
  • Ability to work effectively and comfortably with internal and external customers of all levels.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret or Top Secret security clearance Eligibility for additional clearances may also be required from the customer.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Fixed Facility Checklist, self-inspections and/or DCSA Form147s.
  • Knowledge of general security in depth principles.
  • Familiar with closed area construction.
  • Experience with any of the following: UL 2050 and/or JAFAN 6/9

Security Clearance: This position requires the successful issuance, transfer or maintenance of a security Clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement.
