This role will be part
of XMG software organization, within the Datacenter and AI (DCAI)
group, the industry leader in Cloud, Edge, Enterprise, HPC, IOT and
Networking products. The Security and Privacy Champion will serve
as the focal point for bridging Security Architecture, Platform
Architecture, and Platform Validation teams across the software IPs
following Intel's security guidelines and
strategies.
The mission of this role is to
establish and build trust in Intel products via software IPs using
the Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) to help drive high-quality
security outcomes for Intel's products. This position spans
hardware IP requirements, and work closely with partners in FW and
SoC organizations SW.
Key Roles and
Responsibilities of the role
include:
- Assessing current platform security assurance practices and risks in our software IPs.
- Developing and driving implementation of frameworks to manage IPs' security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Evangelizing security and privacy practices, architecting security solutions, and developing and integrating security requirements into IPs and product definitions and implementation.
- Advancing personal and organizational knowledge of evolving security and privacy principles, theories, attacks, and proliferating expertise across CG and external ecosystems of customers, partners, and suppliers.
- Executing threat and vulnerability assessments for new IPs and products.
- Overseeing conformance of platforms and products to security and privacy standards and specifications.
- Drive compliance and high ranking of Intel Security IPs according to Intel Security guidelines.
The successful candidate should have strong technical insight and expertise in security IP/technology, and have demonstrated expertise in:
- Assessing and responding to software-based, and physical attack techniques.
- Identifying vulnerabilities in complex system environments involving hardware, firmware, software, and cryptographic protocols.
- Implementing security strategies to mitigate security threats and privacy risks to help enhance Intel's reputation.
- Mitigating existing security threats and privacy issues by anticipating attack techniques, attack surface vulnerabilities, and leading the development and implementation of counter measures with internal and external stakeholders.
- Skills to span security expertise across Hardware, Software, and Firmware domain.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, and proficient to work across organizations.
Qualifications
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other technical disciplines.
- 12+ years of engineering experience.
- 5+ years of working experience of Security.
- Deep domain expertise and experience in security development life cycle, and threats and vulnerability research for computing and networking architectures and platforms.
- Familiarity with Intel's Security Development Lifecycle, threat modeling, mitigation strategies, and security assurance practices.
Additional Preferred
Qualifications:
- CISSP and/or other security certifications preferred.

Annual Salary
Range for jobs which could be performed in US,
Colorado:
$132,940.00-$199,800.00

Work Model for this Role
This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
