Intel Product
Assurance and Security (IPAS) is responsible for implementing and
operationalizing proactive security and risk-prioritized measures
for all of Intel's products. The IPAS team is also chartered with
understanding the next generation of security threats and
technologies, while guiding future research and architecture
decisions to secure Intel's platforms while fostering a security
first culture into Intel's product development and strategic
practices. IPAS also hosts the Long-Term Retention Program, a
corporate wide and industry leading lab to enable testing,
validation, and debug of products and platforms post launch to
accomplish product security and quality
goals.
As a senior individual contributor who
will lead and work with highly matrixed, cross organization teams
that are directly tied to the architecture, development,
implementation or upgrade of technology or products for external
customers, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of
Intel's foundational security technologies and the delivery of
Intel's security engine vision. Cross-functional matrixed team
members include 2nd line managers, Sr PEs or
PEs.
This position reports to the leader of the
Security Assurance and Architecture group, and is part of a small
team of highly experienced, multidisciplinary, individual
contributors with a proven track record of taking on complex
challenges, while working across organizations to drive tangible
change.
You will architect, design, and provide technical innovations and solutions to identified security vulnerabilities, and oversight of the development of Intel security hardware technologies.
Scope spans the entire stack including firmware, drivers, frameworks, protocols, algorithms, security IP and hardware technologies, applications as well as validation direction.
You will also be responsible for pathfinding and providing technical direction for security hardware development and interact with technologists across Intel and within the industry to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development along the lines of architectural security initiatives.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
MS/PhD in CS, EE or similar degree with 7+ years' experience in product development, architecture, customer engineering or high-level program leadership roles.
Knowledge of one or more programming and/or scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB, C/C++, C#, PERL, SQL, Python, R, Verilog) and willing to plan, design, write, and debug code to solve business problems and prove architectural algorithms and flows.
Understanding of hacking techniques (e.g., side channel threats) and willing to architect and design software and hardware-based solutions to address security vulnerabilities.
Knowledge of anti-exploitation techniques and willing to utilize existing mitigations or architect similar mitigations on platforms that require them.
In-depth knowledge of one or more of the following domains in CPU core architecture, Memory interface, microcode/pcode, BIOS, CSME, PCH, graphics, Uncore, IO fabrics.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Knowledge of domain-relevant security technologies (e.g., TEE, cloud security, containers, SE, TPM, OS security, secure boot) and the application for the architecture, development, and validation of more robust and secure solutions.
Advanced understanding of the technical concepts associated with the full range of Intel products, architectures, systems, development methods, customer and ecosystem enabling.
Understanding of cross domain architectural features such as power management, DFx, Debug technologies, power delivery, cache and memory technologies, and computer architecture.

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
