Job Description:

This Tucson-based Product Area Security Manager (PSM) position will support the SM-3 family of products and a number of other contract execution security activities within the broader Strategic Engagement Systems (SES) Product Area portfolio. The SM3 PSM is the embedded security professional, security subject-matter-expert (SME), and facilitator of a range of front line of the business security services including writing policies and procedures, coordinating with government accrediting authorities and customers, and preparing security assessment, investigative, and analytical reports for senior security, SM3, and SES leaders. The PSM promotes regulatory compliance with Department of Defense security regulations through effective training and influence, and advises SM3 leadership and staff on multiple efficient options within the security policy space. The PSM interacts and teams with senior peers from SM3 program Finance, Supply Chain, Quality, Operations, and Engineering to meet program objectives. The SM3 PSM partners and supports the SES PSM. This position will report directly to the Strategic Missile Defense (SMD) Security Business Partner.

Duties will include, but not be limited to:
  • Long-term planning for meeting global security compliance requirements in SM3 family of programs including interacting with security leaders from the industry partners, subcontractors, and government customer organizations. Supporting contract security reviews to ensure requirements are consistent with the NISPOM, and various government directives as specified in the DD254 and contract Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Assisting program leadership, FSOs, and other security managers and representatives in resolving program security issues directly with the government customer, subcontractors, Raytheon Technologies (RTX) teammates, and internal program personnel.
  • Advise and assist local government, military, and company security managers in solving security matters at deployed field sites in the continental United States and abroad.
  • Researching contractual (SOW, CDRL, etc.) documents, internal directives, and the NISPOM for security applicability and impact analysis.
  • Elevating classification issues to local subject matter experts and customer.
  • Preparation of Operations Security (OPSEC), Technology Control Plans, Transportation Plans, and security plans for foreign delegation visits, training courses, and associated shipments.
  • Coordinating with International Security Managers to establish and maintain security protection procedures for overseas locations, company property and personnel.
  • Supporting efforts in security classification management and threat awareness training programs and their delivery to program personnel.
  • Assisting cybersecurity teams in the planning and coordination of accreditation of classified Information Systems.
  • Helping locations with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) preparation or audit finding resolutions.
  • Visiting SM3 subcontractors and other locations to conduct formal assessments or provide security assistance as needed.
  • Lead self-inspections and security assistance visits to locations in the US and abroad.
  • Supporting other mission areas, product lines, and special projects as determined by security leadership and the needs of the business.
  • This position requires an active U.S. Secret-level Security Clearance on day of hire.
During Covid-19 this position will consist of part-time telecommuting, and part-time in the office (for a full time position). Once restrictions are lifted this will be a full-time in office position.
Basic Requirements
  • 6 years experience working in Industrial Security, Information Assurance/Cyber, Special Programs, security management, military or government information security programs with strong demonstrated progression from follower to leader.
  • Excellent understanding of the NISPOM, DD254 implications, DoD 5200.01 series and associated military equivalents.
  • Ability to analyze and brief key points from Program SCGs, OPSEC Plans, threats and vulnerability assessments to senior leaders.
  • Possession of an existing Secret Clearance. Only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
  • Prior experience in Government or Defense Contractor in related security field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects and teams.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with OPSEC, cybersecurity, and conducting security operations in field/test environments.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Experience with and ability to travel throughout the United States and overseas.

Required Education (including Major):
Bachelor's Degree preferably in Security Management, Homeland Security, Business Management, International Affairs, or similar curriculum.
