We are the Security
Systems Software (S3) Product Security Expert Center (PSEC) team,
and we collaborate with product teams across our organization to
enhance the security of our products and minimize security
exposures in the field. We achieve this through training/coaching
our product teams on secure product development and a comprehensive
set of security validation activities. We deliver a wide variety of
security products and services spanning client, data center, and
IoT-providing the opportunity to apply your expertise in multiple
areas. We also influence secure development practices well beyond
our immediate organization.
We are looking for
an experienced SDL practitioner with at least 4 years of security
industry and open source security experience ranging from embedded
environments to cloud, to join our dynamic team of security
researchers.
Your responsibilities will include:
Maintain substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art security principles, theories and attacks.
Guide our product teams across the entire Security Development Lifecycle, including threat modeling, security objectives, secure code development, applied cryptography, and open source security.
Determine the required security validation activities for each product release.
Perform security validation activities including threat model reviews, secure code reviews, crypto reviews, fuzzing, and hackathons.
Integrate and enhance security validation tools.
Assess security defects and assist project teams in identifying mitigations.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Experience listed
below would be obtained through relevant previous school, industry
jobs and/or research experience.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Computer Science or relevant discipline with 5 years of experience OR Master's in Computer Science or relevant discipline with 3 years of experience.
3+ years of product development experience.
2+ years of experience in the field of system security research and attack techniques.
Working knowledge of the Security Development Lifecycle.
Working knowledge of open source security.
In-depth experience with security threats and vulnerability research.
Working knowledge of security technologies: authentication, cryptography, secure protocols.
Expertise in strategizing, architecting, and evangelizing advanced product security.
Applicants should have experience in three or more of the following areas:
Threat modeling.
Security architecture review.
Security code review, analysis, and vulnerability assessment.
Cryptographic verification.
Fuzzing.
Reverse engineering.
Exploit and mitigation technique developments.
Penetration testing.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Established network in the security community.
CISSP and/or other security certifications.
Willing to span security expertise across Hardware, Software, and Firmware domains.

Work Model for this Role
