Come join the Intel Client SOC Architecture Team, responsible for architecting world-leading Client SoCs, and delivering the next generation of notebook, desktop, and gaming computers.
We are looking for an outstanding Senior Computer/SoC Architect who is ready to research, develop, and lead Intel architecture as we re-imagine how to build SoCs at Intel and in the semiconductor industry. This role is within the Client Architecture team within Intel's highly regarded Devices Development Group, headquartered in Portland, OR, with additional sites in Folsom CA, Santa Clara CA, and Austin, TX. Your responsibilities may include but not be limited to:
An excellent opportunity to define the next generation of Intel Client Architecture Informing and Influencing architectural direction from upper management and business group leaders
Direct architecture for the entire product life cycle, from early pathfinding, through execution to silicon debug and beyond
Collaborate across disciplines to identify technical solutions and assess key design trade-offs
Define system/subsystem architecture for correct integration and optimized power/performance
Author architecture specifications and facilitate correct implementation by development teams
Work through ambiguity to make critical decisions, proactively mitigate problems, and ensure excellent technical work to achieve business results
Actively engage with colleagues to achieve a common goal; mentor across the division to grow future technical contributors
The ideal candidate will have the following skills in addition to the qualifications listed below:
Sustained technical accomplishments with impact on multiple projects.
Willingness to lead cross-discipline teams and collaborate in a high paced atmosphere
Be a self-motivator with strong problem-solving skills, able to deal with ambiguity
Have leadership skills and the willingness to mentor junior architects
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar field of study.
8+ years of diverse system-on-chip architecture, design, verification, firmware, and implementation experience.
Strong background in one or more of the following:
System-on-Chip integration
Power Management Caching and Memory Coherency/Consistency Memory Hierarchy/Systems Coherent and IO Fabrics/Interconnects
High Speed IO Visual, Audio, and Neural Network Compute Accelerator IPs
Broad knowledge of computer systems (software, hardware, firmware, silicon)
Performance, power, and use case modeling expertise and understanding
