The Data and Analytics organization within Intel IT is chartered with delivering and maintaining world-class data and analytics capabilities that equip the business to capture value through consistent, accurate, reliable and high-quality data, reporting and analytical solutions.

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join the Sales and Operations Planning Analytics team. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. The Senior Data Engineer will also be part of an Agile team.

Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:

  • Collaborate with business partners to understand and document requirements.
  • Convert business requirements to design.
  • Development of the required technical components.
  • Unit testing, integration testing and test automation.
  • Provide status reports and attend Scrum ceremonies.
  • Provide expertise on database management/design to drive integration of business data, functions, and systems.
  • Establish standards, guidelines, procedures, and other infrastructure necessary to support the objective of integration of data.
  • Resolve performance problems.
  • Plans and schedules daily tasks, uses judgement on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices.

In addition the ideal candidate should also have the following behavioral skills:

  • Strong analytical skills to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Skills to explore new alternatives or options to solve data issues, and utilize a combination of industry best practices, data innovations and your experience to get the job done.
  • Passion for documenting work and sharing knowledge systematically.
  • Skills to learn new programming languages to meet goals and objectives.


Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any other related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Data and Analytics development
  • 1+ years of experience with Semiconductor Supply and Demand data

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in:

  • Programming in SQL Server: stored procedures, analysis services, integration services
  • Data cleaning, wrangling, visualization and reporting, with experience in the best, most efficient use of associated tools and applications to complete these tasks
  • Processing large amounts of structured and unstructured data, including integrating data from multiple sources
  • Production support and troubleshooting
  • Azure Data Warehouse

Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.

Work Model for this Role

This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
