Purpose and Objective: SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Senior Developer at our Palo Alto, CA office location to be responsible for development focusing on design, coding, testing, quality assurance of complex product features in a development team.

 

Expectations and Tasks: Resolve complex issues within own area of expertise and support others in resolving issues. Show initiative and drive topics to resolution in a high level of quality, speed, reliability and efficiency. Work closely together with others and share expertise to ensure product success. Constantly improve own work methods to gain state-of-the-art agile software engineering skills. Enhance skills beyond own core functional focus and work on other tasks for the benefit of the team. Demonstrate advanced overall product and technical knowledge and share expertise within and across team and organization. Demonstrate advanced knowledge of development processes and product standards. If acting as Scrum Master in the LEAN context: responsible for ensuring that Scrum is understood and put into practice properly; act as a "servant-leader" for the Product Owner and the Development Team; facilitate Scrum Events on request or as required; coach the Development Team in self-organization; and remove impediments to the Development Team's progress. 20% travel required

 

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and 6 years of experience; or alternatively, a Master's degree and 4 years of experience. Employer will accept a three-year degree or a combination of degrees or diplomas as meeting the Bachelor's degree requirement.

 

Work Experience: Experience must include 2 years of experience involving the following: open source and SAP-specific programming skills (SAP Fiori, UI5, NodeJS); SAP backend technologies (SAP HANA, and ABAP); Distributed Systems; Cloud Computing; OpenUI5 application and control development; Test Driven Development, JavaScript unit and integration tests, test automation; and Jenkins, Continuous integration. 20% travel required.
