Senior Director Digital Marketing Strategy Small Business

Background:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Director Digital Marketing Strategy to lead strategy and implementation as part of our Small Business In-Product Marketing team. In this role you will lead definition of robust journey marketing campaigns to ensure we are targeting our current small business payroll clients, at the right time, with the right messaging, through In-Product Marketing, Email, Website Personalization and Paid Media.  

 

The role will focus on driving additional business from our nearly 800,000

current ADP small business clients leveraging marketing technology (Salesforce Interaction Studio, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Sitecore CMS) by delivering qualified leads to sales, product trials or direct digital purchases. You will work closely with the product and technology teams, business unit marketing teams, sales, and sales operations to architect omnichannel strategies and tactics and define product and technology enhancements focused on improving additional sales outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and Design: Lead the omni-channel marketing campaign journey strategy and planning for small business in-product marketing across a number of complementary and competing upsell and attached solutions
  • Strategy and Operations: Partner with senior leadership to develop and deliver a digital client marketing ecosystem strategy and operating model focused on our current small business payroll clients by partnering closely with Business Unit Marketing teams, Product and Technology teams, and the Sales teams
  • Marketing Technology: Partner with product and technology teams in the roll out and integration of the CDP, including data collection, modeling capabilities, connections to other marketing technologies and activations within our Small Business payroll product
  • Data driven marketing: Work with Data Analysts to collect data, analyze data, create strategies, and execute marketing optimization plans.
  • Personalization and 1:1 Marketing: Partner with business unit marketing and data science teams to identify best fit targets for ADP solutions and define and design personalized marketing campaign strategies and tactics to drive conversions and sales opportunities
  • Marketing Governance: Develop and lead the marketing governance model to optimize marketing to our small business clients across multiple products
  • Drive Marketing Results:  Grow lifetime value of our small business clients by driving leads for sales and direct online purchases within the small business payroll product
  • A/B and Optimization Testing: Lead the ongoing testing and campaign optimization strategy for in product marketing, including ideation, planning, testing, reporting
  • Campaign Reporting: Partner with senior leadership and reporting teams to define and develop reporting and campaign analysis dashboards and reports to showcase the effectiveness of in product marketing

Who we're seeking? Someone with the following qualification would be ideal.

  • 10+ years in Digital Customer Marketing, preferably with B2B experience
  • Understanding and hands-on experience with marketing technologies, preferably Salesforce Interaction Studio, Saleforce Marketing Cloud, or comparable CDP and Marketing Automation provider.
  • Experience maximizing the value of an installed CDP and proven success leveraging marketing solutions to apply data effectively to marketing channels and tactics
  • Expert understanding of customer journeys; how to design, build, how to execute
  • Strategic thinker who can understand business complexities and develop an innovative and creative customer marketing plan that addresses these nuances.
  • Experience defining and developing multi-channel personalization campaign strategies and tactics
  • Expertise in A/B Testing and Conversion Optimization ideation, planning, execution, and reporting
  • Experience working with creative User Experience (UX) and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) teams (internal and agency partners) to define strategic programs and tests to optimize outcomes
  • Strategic thinker who can understand business complexities and develop an innovative and creative customer marketing plan that addresses these nuances.
  • Exceptional leader and team player with proven ability to lead through influence and work effectively both independently and collaboratively within fast-paced, diverse cross-functional teams.
  • Strong ability to establish processes and drive project execution with minimal guidance amidst multiple priorities and goals
  • Prior digital marketing agency experience a plus
